Friends and expectations

I'm going to give it to you straight, I just ended a friendship with a friend who I was friends with for the past few years. So I am a bit bitter and angry at myself for not managing to keep it alive and that may come across in my writing. Now just for the sake of this post let's call this individual LT. LT is a slightly older friend of mine who I met playing Minecraft a while back, we bonded over certain common interests and we gradually went on to talk more and more. It was a great friendship strictly speaking, we were two intellectuals conversing about a variety of topics, his views were purely logical and often a fresh perspective to me. I enjoyed talking with him and he in turned encouraged me to keep up with my passion. It might be of interest to the reader that I was inspired by his blogs to actually start a blog up again. His role as early editor for my fledgling book Old Memories, New Beginnings(That title was created by him). He helped me out unconditionally and ass

The Father of Modern FPS's: Doom

So now we finally get to the cream of the crop, i.e actual blogposts. I'll start off with something I hold close to my heart -videogames. This post will essentially be me fangirling about one of the most important games of all time for the gaming industry, Doom. For the uninitiated, Doom is a game from the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre of videogames. It was released in 1993 by a small group of game developers who would go on to create id software, a gaming company. Doom is considered to be one of the pioneers of 3D games in general despite the game actually not being 3D(it can be considered 2.5D).  Now enough about the boring historical stuff lets get into the really good stuff. Doom has a very simplistic story(though a

Introduction to my world

Good day! (or evening depending on when you're reading this). You have found yourself in my blog, where I put down my thoughts about literally anything (hence the name of my blog, more on that later). Now, no matter how you found this infinitely small corner of the internet, I'm glad you're here, if only for a moment. My name is Abraham Aji Varghese and as of the time that I'm typing this post 16 years old and studying in the 11th grade. My folks call me Aby and hence I'm predisposed to encourage everyone I meet to do the same. I'm your average 11th grader for the most part, I study (barely), play videogames and the whole nine yards. I'm more on the introverted side of the spectrum and I'm utterly terrible at socializing. I love reading, writing, cooking, playing videogames and watching anime (don't worry the bulk of my free time is spent on the last two). Now that we have some semblance of an introduction in place, let me tell you, the reader about this
